UNESCO Auction
Jean Michel
Jarre has been a goodwill ambassador for UNESCO since 1993, and the
organisation is involved in many worthwhile causes all around the world.
Over the past two Jean Michel Jarre conventions around £1300 has been
raised for UNESCO from auctions and donations.
Once again,
an auction will take place on the day. A number of items have already
been pledged from both fans, fanclubs and organisations. If you wish,
you can also contribute to the auction. If you decide to, then you have
two options - to completely donate the item to the auction, and 100%
of the auction price will go directly to UNESCO. The other option is
to donate 20% to UNESCO - the other 80% you will receive yourself towards
the end of the day (to allow time for administration.)
Please note
that items that are 100% to UNESCO are given priority, if for some reason
the auction runs over the allocated time. All items included in the auction
must be handed in before 11am. This is to enable time for the items to
be displayed in the exhibition before the day opens at 12pm - if items
are brought after this time, we may decide not to include them in the
auction. Please include as much detail as possible in the item description.
If you include a minimum bid and the bidding price does not go above this,
then it will be returned to you.
During the
auction, your name/organisation will be mentioned to thankyou for your
gesture. However we understand that some may wish to remain anonymous,
in which case, tick the designated box below. Please note that this
option is only if you are donating the item 100% to UNESCO.
